The AEGON Championship Tennis (Artois) is nestled in leafy West Kensington, Queen's Club, London. It opens its doors to host the prestigious, all male, AEGON Grass Court Championships Tennis Tournament.
This year signals the start of a new era as AEGON, the lead partner of The Lawn Tennis Association are the title sponsor of the AEGON Championships.
AEGON Championships (formerly The Artois Championships) at The Queen's Club London will take place during the 8th- 14th June 2009.
At last year's Championship, French Open Champion Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic in a thrilling final to claim his first grass court title in front of a packed Centre Court. Nadal joins the likes of McEnroe, Becker, Sampras and Roddick on The Queen's Club roll of honour. Nadal then went on win the men's title at Wimbledon in arguably the greatest final of all time.
Rafael Nadal took the 2008 title from Roddick to secure his fifth grand slam win at the age of 22 just days after winning the French Open against Roger Federer. Will he make it 3 wins a row at Wimbledon?
